Guides to holidaying at home
23.01.08 Victoria Arnstein
A new series of guidebooks about holidaying in Great Britain are due to be launched by independent Crimson Publishing.
The Best of Britain series will launch in May, with five titles priced at £11.99. These are: Best of Britain: Lake District, East Anglia, Isle of Wight, Devon and Cornwall. More titles are planned for release towards the end of the year.
As well as featuring maps and what-to-do-where information, the guidebooks will also include ideas of activities to do with children and itineraries designed to cover a weekend, a week or a fortnight.
David Lester, Crimson Publishing m.d., said: "It became apparent through speaking to friends, family and colleagues that the depth of information they wanted for holidays in various parts of Britain just wasn’t readily available."
