Springer owners eye Informa
The owners of academic publisher Springer Science & Business Media are actively considering an approach for business publishing group Informa, which is currently in merger talks with United Business Media, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Private equity firms Candover and Cinven, which bought Springer from Bertelsmann five years ago, are in the early stages of examining a possible bid for Informa, according to people familiar with the matter.
