Fyfield and Rob Smith pick up Daggers
Frances Fyfield has won the £20,000 Duncan Lawrie Dagger at this year's Dagger Awards for her novel Blood From Stone (Little, Brown). Debut novelist Tom Rob Smith picked up the Ian Fleming Steel Dagger for Child 44.
The Duncan Lawrie International Dagger for the best crime novel translated into English, worth £5,000 to the author and £1000 to the translator, went to authors Dominique Manotti with Lorraine Connection, and translators Amanda Hopkinson and Ros Schwartz and published by EuroCrime (Arcadia Books).
In all, eight daggers were awarded on the night. The winners in full are as follows:

Debut Dagger: Amer Anwar, WESTERN FRINGES
