Abrams & Chronicle Books' m.d. Brenda Marsh has made her first structural changes to the company since her appointment in June.
Tabitha Ward, previously head of UK trade sales, has been promoted to director of trade sales. Ward joined Abrams & Chronicle Books (A&CB) in 2014 and under her leadership trade sales have "grown substantially", the company has said. In her capacity as director of trade sales, Ward will assume the management of A&CB’s business with PGUK.
Nick Hawkes, key account manager, has assumed new responsibility for Waterstone’s books sales. Hawkes joined Abrams & Chronicle Books from Ryland Peters & Small in 2014. He manages a wide customer base of bookshops, museums and wholesalers and will continue to report to Ward in his role as key account manager.
Sally Oliphant, previously head of publicity and marketing, has been promoted to director of publicity and marketing. Oliphant joined the company in April 2015 from HarperCollins Non-Fiction and has also worked at Pan Macmillan and Usborne. "In her time at Abrams & Chronicle Books she has strengthened the position of many of their authors and brands in the UK market and has tirelessly worked to maximize exposure in Europe", the company said.
All appointments are effective immediately.
