Amazon has launched its second Prime Day promotional bonanza this morning (12th July), offering deals on products every five minutes.
The day of deals is exclusively for £79-a-year paying Amazon Prime members, designed to encourage customers to sign up to the subscription, and first launched last year.
This time the company is offering 80% more deals from Amazon Marketplace sellers and said that 30% of its offers were from small businesses, it said.
The retailer is offering promotions on its Kindle e-reader and tablet devices, such as £30 off a Kindle Paperwhite. At the time of writing, several books also feature on promotion, such as over 50% off the adult colouring books Anti-Stress Colouring by Christian Rose (Bell & Mackenzie Publishing Ltd) and Secret Garden Artist’s Edition by Johanna Basford (Laurence King).
The cookbook Toast by Raquel Pelzel (Phaidon Press), was selling for 30% off at £10.50 and a box set of seven books by David Walliams (HarperCollins Childrens) was also on offer for 49% off at £25.
Doug Gurr, managing director at Amazon UK, said: “Prime Day is firmly establishing itself as a major summer deals day and we’ve worked hard to make sure we are offering our Prime members the lowest prices on even more great deals for Prime Day 2016.”
