Social media star and comedian, Arron Crascall, is publishing See Ya Later with Trapeze, in which an older and wiser Crascall will dish out advice to his 13-year-old self.
The book will follow the same format as the author's favourite TV show, "The Wonder Years", in a bid to navigate "the big issue of being a contented and fulfilled grown-up", using a mixture of autobiographical narrative, diaries to his 13-year-old self, love letters, early letters to Santa and a collection of his favourite playlists and TV shows.
Anna Valentine, publisher of Trapeze, part of Orion, pre-empted world rights, all languages, from Becca Barr of Becca Barr Management, which will be published in hardback on 21st September 2017, priced £16.99.
Crascall, who currently stars in his own BBC3 comedy series, first emerged on the social-media scene in 2014 with compilations on Facebook of his Vine content. Since then, he has garnered over 4.2m Facebook followers and over a million followers across Twitter, Vine, Instagram and YouTube. On Facebook alone, his videos of his comedy sketches have reached upwards of 30m views.
Crascall said: "Having my own book is an incredible feeling. It seems like yesterday I was working in a bookies in Dover and now two years on my life has changed in so many ways. I’m ecstatic to be working with Trapeze and when we first met with Anna there was an instant chemistry. I’m beyond excited and can’t wait for all my following, family and friends to read See Ya Later."
Valentine said: "When I first met Arron, I had to prise him away from the reception and security staff who were all clamouring to take selfies with him. That marked the start of one of the most memorable and exciting meetings I’ve had, and I knew that day I had to publish Arron’s book. I’ve been a huge fan for many years, and think he’s one of the most exciting comedians of today. The fact he’s built up such an amazing social media platform is testament to his inimitable and loveable brand of comedy."
