Avon is to publish a Christmas tribute to the film "Home Alone", starring a French bulldog named Claude.
Commissioning editor Charlotte Ledger acquired world all language rights to the title from Gemma Cooper at The Bent Agency.
Written by Mills & Boon author Sophie Pembroke, Claude’s Christmas Adventure is a "perfect feel good read for the holiday season", the publisher has said.
The book will follow Claude as he searches for food, shelter and the "odd belly rub". Claude is a dog with "a voracious appetite, but an even bigger heart", and only he can bring Maple Drive family together this Christmas.
Ledger said: "I am delighted to be publishing Sophie Pembroke’s first outing with Avon. This is festive fun at its best, and I know that as soon as people see the package of Claude on the shelves they’ll fall in love with him.”
The book will be released as a small format hardback in October this year.
