Black and White Publishing has bought two books by debut crime novelist M P Wright.
Campbell Brown, c.e.o. of Black and White Publishing, acquired world English rights from Philip Patterson of Marjacq Scripts. Television rights in the first novel, titled Heartman, have been optioned by World Productions.
Heartman is set amongst the West Indian community of 1960s Bristol. It follows J T Ellington, who has recently arrived and is down on his luck, when he is hired to find a vulnerable young woman who has disappeared. It is the first in a series featuring Ellington’s character.
Black and White Publishing will release Heartman in July 2014.
