Bloomsbury has divided its sales department into consumer and non-consumer responsibilities following the departure of group UK sales director David Ward.
It was announced yesterday (7th November) that Ward is to leave the company after working there for its entire 30 years.
Elise Burns, previously director for UK children’s and education sales, is to become UK sales director – consumer division, responsible for all consumer (children’s and adult) UK sales including area managers and third-party clients.
Sarah Broadway, previously co-m.d. of Osprey, will now be global sales director – non-consumer division responsible for non-consumer sales, including special interest lists and Osprey.
Both consumer and non-consumer sales directors will report to Kathleen Farrar, managing director of group sales and marketing.
Farrar said: “With the ever-changing retail landscape I feel confident in the decision we’ve taken to align the sales responsibilities alongside our publishing divisions. Both Elise and Sarah are highly experienced in their sales fields and bring a wealth of experience and customer knowledge to their new roles.”
