Bonnier Publishing, with Insight Editions and Warner Bros, is hosting an interactive colouring event celebrating the Harry Potter films today (1st September) in King’s Cross Station, near The Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 ¾.
Fans have been invited to add colour to three giant eight-foot tall murals illustrating iconic images from the Harry Potter films for the day, while the event will be captured on video and live-streamed across social media, including Periscope and Facebook. The action can be followed using the hashtag #ColourTheMagic.
The occasion promotes the Harry Potter colouring range, published by Insight Editions in partnership with Warner Bros, for which Bonnier's Kings Road Publishing has the sublicense in the UK and Ireland. Studio Press (an imprint of Kings Road Publishing) released the colouring book Harry Potter Magical Places and Characters at the end of June, as part of developing a new Harry Potter colouring range and to coincide with the two-part West End stage play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Little, Brown).
The Cursed Child playscript from Little, Brown secured JK Rowling her 75th number one yesterday, after topping the Official Top 50 number one for a fourth week running in Nielsen BookScan’s Total Consumer Market.
