Bonnier Zaffre, the fiction division of Bonnier Publishing, has made a number of changes at Piccadilly Press and Hot Key Books, including promoting Emma Matthewson to publishing director of both imprints.
Bonnier said the changes are part of its plans to publish books with “wide commercial appeal”, from both debut and established authors. The company, which is this year releasing a series co-written by Sir Chris Hoy, also emphasised its plans to “publish high profile authors who are personally interested in inspiring children through storytelling and illustrated books”.
In other staff changes, Matilda Johnson has been promoted to senior commissioning editor and Georgia Murray has moved from editor to commissioning editor across both lists.
Jane Harris, children’s executive director at Bonnier Zaffre, said: “We have a fantastic team here at Hot Key Books and Piccadilly Press and I’m really pleased about these promotions – they are very well-deserved.”
The editorial team will continue to report to Harris.
