The Bookseller is looking for this year’s Rising Stars for its annual feature on the next generation of movers and shakers in the book industry.
Nominations from across the industry are now open, with a deadline of Friday 9th May.
For the first time this year Rising Stars will be sponsored by Atwood Tate and in association with The Frankfurt Book Fair, who will be joining together with The Bookseller in a series of events, promotions and social gatherings to support and champion the collection of skilled young professionals.
Tom Tivnan, the Bookseller’s Features and Insight Editor says: “Yes, this is about the young guns, but it is not necessarily about age, as it can include a trade veteran who has changed roles or a seasoned professional from outside the industry who is new to the business. We are looking for people who are approaching the trade with flair, energy and enthusiasm and has successfully translated that in their own business. Credit will also be given for innovation—the people in the trade who are responding to seismic changes and are building new models, products and ways of working, telling stories and reaching reader.”
Please respond to either Tom Tivnan or Felicity Wood (tom.tivnan@thebookseller.com or felicity.wood@thebookseller.com) with a testimonial as to why you or your Rising Star candidate deserves to be on the list, sketching out achievements and any examples of going above and beyond the call of duty. Supporting material can include testimonials from colleagues and managers and any form of documentary evidence (sales figures, deals brokered, revenue generated etc).
