Two new people are joining the Penguin General communications team: Hannah Ludbrook and Cat Mitchell.
Ludbrook recently joined the team as communications assistant, replacing Josie Murdoch who has been promoted to campaigns officer for Penguin Life, and Mitchell will be joining as campaigns officer at the end of July. She is replacing Sara D’Arcy, who recently left to work at Women’s Aid.
Ludbrook joined Penguin General from Foyles, where she was the Charing Cross Road events coordinator, and Mitchell joins the team from Vintage, where she has been publicity executive. Ludbrook is reporting into Anna Ridley, head of communications, and Mitchell will report into Poppy North, senior campaigns manager.
Murdoch’s promotion to the newly-formed role of campaigns officer for Penguin Life reflects the "fast and impressive" growth of the imprint since it was launched at the beginning of 2016, the publisher said. She is reporting into Julia Murday, senior campaigns manager for Penguin Life.
The communications team has also made two further promotions with Annie Hollands promoted to campaigns manager and Rose Poole to senior campaigns officer. The team is further made up of Lindsay Terrell, campaigns manager, and Elke Desanghere, digital marketing officer, who report into Amelia Fairney, communications director.
