Chris Wold has joined Watkins Media Limited – publishers of Watkins, Nourish, Angry Robot and Repeater – in the role of associate publisher of Nourish and Special Projects.
He will report to the publisher, Jo Lal.
In this role, Wold will oversee Nourish, the food and wellness imprint, while also working alongside Lal to create new publishing opportunities from the company’s extensive backlist and spearhead the promotion of digital titles.
"You’d be very hard-pressed to find an independent house with a longer or more storied history than that of Watkins. And the establishment of the Nourish imprint, with its focus on wellness through food and drink, is a perfect complement and a smart commercial move," Wold said. "The combo of a long history, the exciting expansion of the business under new ownership and a great team attracted me to the group. I've had the opportunity to work with Watkins on other projects, so I've seen it all in action. There’s a great deal yet to come from this company."
Wold was previously the group international publisher at HarperCollins, based in London, as well as the founder of 99 & Associates, a publishing consultancy that he continues to lead.
