A team from the Daily Telegraph has won the English PEN Quiz for the second year in a row, narrowly beating the team from HarperCollins after a tie-breaker.
The 13th annual fundraiser took place last night (11th November) at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London.
Twenty companies from the world of journalism, publishing and law took part, including Penguin Random House, the Literary Review and Hachette UK, who came third. Other guests included authors Susie Boyt, Amanda Craig, Sebastian Faulks, William Fiennes, Philip Hensher, Tom Holland and Neel Mukherjee.
The evening was hosted by author and comedian Viv Groskop, with comedian Robin Ince acting as raffle master. The quiz questions were set by Marcus Berkmann and Stephen Arkell of Brainmen.
This is the second year in a row that the Daily Telegraph has won the quiz.
