Egmont has appointed Rebecca Daniels to the newly created role of head of marketing for books.
Daniels was previously at Universal Pictures and Paramount Pictures, where she managed the Home Entertainment launches for leading family franchises. She worked on a number of titles including Nickelodeon's 'Paw Patrol', 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' and 'Transformers', 'Iron Man', 'Star Trek' and 'How To Train Your Dragon'.
She will lead the marketing team and its strategy for Egmont the publisher’s books division and will enable us to further maximize activity, in particular strong retail presence, SEO, social media, experiential and blogger relations and continue to deliver first class campaigns for Egmont’s authors, illustrators, agents and licensors. She will report to sales, marketing and PR director, Ingrid Gilmore.
Gilmore said: "Rebecca’s marketing experience, creativity and ability to build brands and reach consumers with engaging and creative communication will ensure Egmont and our books will be front of mind for parents and children. I'm delighted to have her on the team."
Daniels joined Egmont this month.
