Laurence King Publishing has appointed illustrated book editor Chelsea Edwards and visual arts specialist Philip Contos as senior editors.
Edwards brings 10 years’ experience of working in editorial. She started her career as project editor at Flame Tree Publishing, where she project-managed the completion of licensed products with organisations such as Tate and the Royal Academy of Arts. She then joined Quarto Publishing, where she was senior project editor and was responsible for overseeing and publishing high quality illustrated books.
Contos joins LKP this month from V&A Publishing, with more than eight years’ editorial experience. At V&A Publishing he was responsible for all aspects of exhibition catalogue and book publishing, producing a wide range of titles. He was previously at Quintessence Editions.
Both Contos and Edwards will be reporting to LKP’s editorial and developmental manager, Lesley Henderson, and will work across LKP’s full range of titles, including children’s, fashion, design, architecture, gifts, contemporary art and art history.
Henderson said: "We are delighted to welcome both Chelsea and Philip to our editorial team. With their sound experience in visual arts and illustrated book publishing, both editors will be a valuable asset to our team.”
