Tom Ellen and Lucy Ivison, the authors of Lobsters and Never Evers, are writing a new YA novel about the first year of university.
Freshers, which will be published by Chicken House, is about two teenagers, one boy and one girl, as they “embark on their first year of university, a rollercoaster of love, sex and friendship”, and will feature many of the same characters from Lobsters.
Chicken House m.d. Barry Cunningham acquired world rights from Kirsty McLachlan at David Godwin Associates and will publish in August 2017 (p/b, £7.99).
Ellen and Ivison’s first novel Lobsters, a YA romance, was published in June 2014 and was shortlisted for the inaugural YA Book Prize. Their second book, Never Evers, about a school ski trip, was published last month.
