TV presenter and radio host Fearne Cotton is publishing two more books with Orion, focused on health and happiness.
Amanda Harris, publisher of Orion non-fiction and Orion Spring, bought world rights from Rowan Lawton at Furniss Lawton for her next two books.
The first title, Happy, will be published as a hardback and e-book, priced £16.99 and £8.99, in January 2017. Drawing on Cotton's own experiences, it will be "a practical guide on how we can help ourselves feel more joy”, including hand drawn illustrations by Cotton herself. It will also include expert advice from those who’ve helped her and workbook elements to help readers find their own "daily happiness".
There will also be a second cookbook that, as yet unnamed but following on from the bestselling Cook Happy Cook Healthy, will be published in hardback and e-book (£20/£10.99) in June 2017.
Harris said: "Fearne Cotton is a dream author. She fizzes with creativity and ideas, writes like a dream, and has been hands-on in making her first cookbook, Cook Happy Cook Healthy, the bestseller it is today. I'm thrilled to be publishing two more books with such a talent. The first, Happy, will become a generation's go-to exploration of happiness. The second will be a brand new cookbook showcasing more of Fearne's inspiring and unique recipes."
Cotton said: "I'm thrilled to be working on two new books with Orion. I'm over the moon that Cook Happy Cook Healthy has been so well-received and that Orion have not only asked to write a second cookbook, they are also going to publish a book I'm currently writing about happiness. There's so much to look forward to over the next twelve months."
Cotton has been presenting television since she was talent spotted by ITV's "Disney Club" at the age of 15, including Top of the Pops and the Red Nose Day telethons. She was at Radio 1 for a decade, where she hosted prime time slots including the UK Top 40 show and the Live Lounge. Additionally she is a brand ambassador for BaByliss and writes a column for Glamour.
Most recently she finished filming the latest series of ITV2 show Celebrity Juice in her role as team captain, and she is currently filming her series "Fearne’s Happiness Project" for new YouTube channel Pretty Upfront.
