Felice Howden, head of digital marketing and consumer engagement for Little, Brown, has joined Bonnier Zaffre in the newly-created role of digital marketing manager.
Howden, one of The Bookseller’s Rising Stars of 2015, joins Bonnier Zaffre in April after six years with Little, Brown, during which time she worked on campaigns such as M R Carey’s The Girl With All The Gifts (Orbit).
Howden will now be responsible for furthering Bonnier Zaffre’s digital marketing and publishing, in particular focusing on its growing direct-to-consumer channels and communities and reshaping its digital marketing strategy for lead authors and brands, including Lynda LaPlante, Louise Pentland, Bear Grylls and Sir Chris Hoy.
She will report to Stephen Dumughn, marketing director for Bonnier Zaffre, with whom she worked with closely at Little, Brown before Dumughn joined Bonnier Zaffre in August last year.
Howden said she was looking forward to joining the team and praised Bonnier Zaffre for making "a big mark on the industry in a very short time", in particular with titles such as Maestra and Nomad. "I’m really looking forward to working with their amazing stable of authors, as well as leading some of the digital projects they have coming up this year and in the future," she added.
Dumughn, who worked Howden for over five years at Little, Brown, said, "I know first-hand what a brilliant, creative and inspiring colleague she is, and I can’t imagine anyone better to help drive our digital growth. It’s a real testament to everything we’ve achieved so far that we are attracting industry-leading talent like Felice to join us, and I know that she will love being part of the dynamic and fun team here, who I’ve been so impressed by since I started last year.”
