Stanfords travel shop has appointed Brian Finch to its board as finance director, amid a series of new appointments at the historic travel bookshop.
Other appointments include Waterstones blog editor Dan Lewis, who will join Stanfords as marketing, events and PR manager.
Finch, who has been working on a consultancy basis for the company for the past year, will now join the board as finance director and company secretary, and will be responsible for the financial management of parent companies Edward Stanford Ltd and Edward Stanford Group Ltd.
Lewis will join in December and will be tasked with "raising the profile of the brand through an expanded events programme" and "an enhanced social media presence", as well as developing strategic partnerships.
Later this month, Iain Betterton will join as buying and product development director. He has previously worked at the Science Museum Group, and will head the buying team.
Other appointments announced before the company releases its results next week are Mark Prisk MP, who joined the board as a non-executive director in April 2014, will continue working in an advisory capacity.
Another recent joiner is Edward Davies, who joined Stanford last month as the new e-commerce manager. He will "oversee and manage a number of major changes to the operation" following a review of Stanfords current e-commerce business.
M.d. Tony Maher, who joined Stanfords in June last year said: "These appointments considerably strengthen our management team and will be instrumental in further developing the Stanfords brand and business across all areas of its activities."
