Nadiya Hussain, winner of the 2015 series of TV's "The Great British Bake Off", will be writing three contemporary women’s fiction novels for Harlequin.
The first will be released in hardback in January 2017. Anna Baggaley, senior commissioning editor at HQ bought world rights from Anne Kibel at AK Artist Management.
The GBBO winner cut a deal with Michael Joseph at the end of last year to publish her “dream" cookbook, slated for publication in June, and has also already agreed to write a children’s book for Hodder Children’s Books, publishing in September.
Hussain said: “I’m so thrilled to be making my women’s fiction debut with Harlequin and the opportunity to connect with a wide new audience of readers.”
