Hannah Glenny, previously senior communications manager, has been promoted to the new role of head of UK communications at Penguin Random House UK.
Glenny will take responsibility for PRH UK's group communications, reporting to Neil Morrison, director for strategy, culture and innovation.
The appointment follows a recent restructure at PRH UK's communications department which has seen group communications director Maureen Corish depart.
Glenny joined Penguin Random House UK in 2014 from strategic communications agency Portland. PRH UK c.e.o. Tom Weldon said: "During her time at Penguin Random House, Hannah has been responsible for brilliantly shaping and supporting a number of key initiatives, including leading campaigns for WriteNow and The Scheme, and growing awareness of our consumer brands, digital platforms and audio publishing.
"I’m delighted that she will now work closely with myself, our Group Executive and colleagues across the company to champion books and publishing to all our audiences.”
