Charlie Redmayne has stepped in as a “sinister gangster” for the “bling” foil jacket of Kimberly Chambers’ new hardback Backstabber.
"The boss" appears on the back cover for the title which is published today (9th February). His image also appears on a fleet of black cabs covering London: across the sides of the cabs, and on the flip seats and receipts for a month.
The HarperCollins UK c.e.o said: “I absolutely love Kim and her gritty, thrilling novels, and Backstabber is, for me, yet another winner. I can only thank Kim from the bottom of my heart for giving me my first (very loose) foothold onto the world of modelling, albeit as a hardened criminal. You have to take these opportunities when they come up.”
Chambers said: “Charlie is a fantastic c.e.o and always game for a laugh - my books couldn’t be in better hands at HarperCollins with him at the helm. I wouldn't swap him as ‘The Boss’ on the jacket of Backstabber for all the tea in China.”
An HC spokesperson said: "Taking part in a special photoshoot for the jacket, Redmayne appears as a sinister gangster on the back cover. Backstabber is Chambers' 12th novel and will be published with a 'bling' foil cover."
