HarperVoyager UK is running a new Twitter campaign and title give-away, dedicating a day to fantasy author Peter V Brett's Demon Cycle series.
"Demon Cycle Day" will take place on 8th February, on which date fans will be given two copies of Brett's first book The Painted Man "to give to their friends" if they can tell the Voyager team "why [they] love Peter V Brett so much", using the hashtag #DemonCycleDay.
The campaign is a "celebration" of his fourth and latest book in the series, The Skull Throne, that published in April 2015. It featured at number five in the Sunday Times Bestseller chart. The significance of 8th February is that it is also Brett's birthday.
The give-away book, The Painted Man, was written by the New York-based author on his mobile phone while commuting on the subway from his home in Brooklyn to his job in Times Square. He sold it to HarperVoyager in June 2007.
Voyager is urging fans on the day to "make as much noise as we can". Fans are also encouraged to share photos of their prize copies when they arrive in the post, and to "tell us who you're going to give them to, share their reactions, encourage them to post photos on Twitter and Instagram - we want you to share your love for The Painted Man as much as you can". The giveaway is limited to UK entries only.
