Hachette Children’s Group (HCG) has appointed Paul Rockett as publishing director of education.
Rockett (pictured), who will join the group on 4th April, will be responsible for school and library publishing from the Franklin Watts and Wayland imprints. He will report to Rob Ince, publisher of education and non-fiction.
Rockett, who has previously worked for Oxford University Press, BBC Worldwide and Pearson Education, said: “I am excited to be joining the Franklin Watts and Wayland schools and libraries publishing team, and looking forward to building on Hachette’s commitment to producing the high-quality educational books which give children a lifelong love of reading and learning.”
Sarah Peutrill, editorial director of Franklin Watts, and Vicky Brooker, m.d. at Wayland, will both report to Rockett.
Debbie Foy, editorial director for Wayland’s trade publishing, will continue to report to Rob Ince.
