Headline is publishing bestselling novelist Daisy Goodwin’s next novel, Victoria, based on the life of the young Queen Victoria.
Imogen Taylor at Headline Review acquired UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, from Caroline Michel at PFD.
Goodwin is also the creator and writer of "Victoria", a forthcoming eight-part drama for ITV featuring Jenna Coleman in the role of Queen Victoria.
Taylor said: "I’m very excited to be publishing Daisy’s next novel; she’s a dynamo, and her novel will reflect one of the most intriguing aspects of the young Victoria, that of a sheltered young girl who, little more than a month after her 18th birthday, became Queen, and not only changed her name, but established her authority from the first."
Goodwin is the author of a memoir, Silver River, and two previous novels, the bestselling My Last Duchess and Richard and Judy book club selection The Fortune Hunter (which also featured Victoria), published by Headline Review.
Victoria is due to be published on 20th October.
