Headline's head of marketing and digital Vicky Palmer is leaving after seven years with the company to join Transworld as deputy marketing director. Palmer will report to marketing director Janine Giovanni, starting 12th June.
Palmer joined Headline as a marketing manager in 2010 and went on to work on campaigns for authors including Maggie O'Farrell, Patrick Gale, Lisa Gardner, Sarah Winman, Mary Berry, David Beckham, Jo Thomas, Deborah Harkness and Mary Berry and take charge of the company's digital marketing strategy. She has been shortlisted for the Bookseller Industry Award Marketing Campaign of the Year twice: for The Lemon Grove by Helen Walsh, in 2015, and for her campaign for When God Was A Rabbit by Sarah Winman, in 2012.
Palmer said: "After seven wonderful and proud years at Headline I am sad to leave but am incredibly excited about joining the team at Transworld. Their ongoing success and the strength of their list speak for themselves and it's an exciting new challenge ahead."
Giovanni said: "Vicky brings with her a wealth of marketing and management experience for her new role and bucketloads of enthusiasm for the Transworld list. We couldn't be happier."
