Hodder acquires history of grime

Hodder & Stoughton has acquired This is Grime, the story of grime music, by music journalist Hattie Collins.

Senior editor Briony Gowlett acquired UK & Commonwealth rights to the book from Cathryn Summerhayes at WME, and will publish the book with original photographs of the grime scene by Olivia Rose.

Gowlett said: “Grime is the most influential and inventive musical culture produced in the UK in the last two decades and yet there has never been a significant book published about the scene. With Hattie and Olivia’s unparalleled access This is Grime is sure to become the definitive book on grime music and its biggest stars.”

This is Grime will be published on 8th September.
