Hodder & Stoughton is publishing a new cookbook by Alex Hollywood of "quick and delicious" mid-week suppers in March.
Hollywood, wife of "Great British Bake Off" presenter Paul Hollywood, will draw on the "fuss-free" recipes she shares from her Twitter feed, @hollywood_wife, designed to fit easily into mid-week meal planning in Cooking Tonight.
Chapters include: Soups; Chicken; Mince; Pork; Beef; Lamb; Fish; Meat-free; Pasta; Toasties; and Something Sweet.
Cooking Tonight will be published as a hardback on 9th March 2017. The book is Hollywood's second in a two-book world rights deal that was brokered by Borra Garson at Deborah Mckenna Ltd. Her first book, My Busy Kitchen, was signed in 2014 and published in February 2015.
Hollywood said: “The question I hear again and again during the week is ‘What are you cooking tonight?’ but because we have so little time to plan mid-week, most of us tend to churn out the same dishes again and again. So I decided to write a book based on those basics you already bought with your weekly shop and create some quick, easy and delicious recipes that can either be made in super-quick time or with a little planning be made into a long, slow ‘one-pot’ wonder.”
Nicky Ross, Hodder & Stoughton lifestyle editorial director, said: “Alex’s passion for cooking is infectious and her recipes are delicious. Whenever I’m stuck for midweek ideas or inspiration I turn to her because I know she’ll come up with something that will help me get my cookery mojo back.”
Hollywood's GBBO presenter husband, who will move with the show to Channel 4, published How To Bake with Bloomsbury in 2012 and, most recently, published The Weekend Baker with Michael Joseph in May 2016.
