Hodder Children’s Books, part of Hachette Children’s Group, has sold Italian rights to Andy Riley’s upcoming children’s title, King Flashypants and the Evil Emperor.
Mondadori has bought the Italian rights and Hodder is also “in discussion” with publishers in France and Spain.
King Flashypants, Riley’s first children’s book, will be published in the UK in summer 2016. Anne McNeil, publishing director for Hodder Children’s Books, acquired world rights, excluding the US, in a three-book deal with Gordon Wise at Curtis Brown.
