Sprout Pictures, the independent film and TV company run by Stephen Fry, has optioned James Carols’ first book, Broken Dolls.
The title is being published by Faber in January 2014.
The deal was struck by the Sheila David, dramatic rights agent at the Darley Anderson Agency.
Broken Dolls is the first book in James Carol’s Jefferson Winter crime series. It tells the story of an investigator who is also the son of a notorious US serial killer, leading a nomadic life until he has to head to London to stop a psychopath.
