James Smith has been appointed as the c.e.o. of global publishing and distribution company Images/ACC Publishing Group.
Smith, who was previously sales director and publisher for ACC, will take over from current c.e.o. Paul Latham, who will remain with the company in a consultative capacity as non-executive chairman. Smith will start in his new role on 1st January 2018.
In August 2016, the Images Publishing Group acquired art book publisher Antique Collectors Club and renamed the overall company Images/ACC Publishing Group.
The combined Images/ACC Publishing Group now has offices in Australia, the UK, USA and China.
Since the acquisition, ACC has published a range of titles, including The Essential Marilyn Monroe, and has signed several new publishers for distribution, including the Royal Academy.
Latham said: “This marks an exciting new era for the company. James Smith has been sales director of ACC for a number of years and has made an outstanding contribution to the group. I am confident that he will bring a youthful enthusiasm and great influence in this strenuous role.”
