An unspecified number of jobs are under consultation at Oxford University Press's English Language Teaching (ELT) division, the publisher has confirmed.
Peter Marshall, m.d. of the division, said the consultation had resulted from proposals to "reshape" the division.
"The proposed changes involve reducing the size of some of our functions and regional teams and we have worked hard to ensure that the proposals are both selective and proportionate," he told The Bookseller. "OUP’s ELT business is growing and we will be adding new roles and additional resources to support future growth, continuing to be responsive to new customer needs and market opportunities.”
OUP would not give details on the numbers of roles and exact changes being proposed.
