Publisher Bookouture has snapped up global print, e-book and audio rights to two psychological thrillers by author Kerry Wilkinson, who has been a bestselling self-published author on Amazon as well as publishing conventionally with Pan Macmillan.
Publisher Claire Bord acquired the rights directly from the author.
The first novel, Two Sisters, follows sisters Megan and Chloe who receive a postcard on the day of their parents’ funeral with a photo of the seaside resort they used to visit as children. On the postcard is a single letter, "Z" for Zac, their brother who disappeared 10 years ago.
Bookouture publishes Wilkinson's Jessica Daniels series in the US, with Pan Macmillan publishing it in the UK.
Bord said: "We have really enjoyed working with Kerry on bringing his much-loved Jessica Daniel detective series to a US audience and when Kerry first described the plot of Two Sisters I was immediately hooked."
Kerry said: "I'm really excited to be working with Claire and Bookouture to release what I believe is some of my best work yet."
Two Sisters will be released in June with the second book following shortly afterwards, in the autumn.
