Amazon is continuing the roll-out of its Kindle Unlimited e-book subscription service, already up and running in the US and UK.
In both Spain and Italy, the service is now being offered for 9.99 euros a month, with access to 700,000 titles.
In Spain, Amazon.es is highlighting the complete Harry Potter series, the Africanus trilogy by Santiago Posteguillo (B de Books), KDP indie authors including Jorge Magano and Fernando Gamboa, and literary works by Nobel laureates including Gabriel Garcia Marquez's Vivir para contarla and Pablo Neruda's Confieso que he vivido (both Leer-e/Palabras Mayores).
In Italy, the service is advertising the inclusion of writers such as Anna Premoli and Marcello Simoni (both Newton Compton Editori) and Stoner by John Edward Williams (Fazi Editore). It also notes that among the titles it offers in English are the works of "grandi autori" - great authors - including Douglas Preston, the US thriller writer who founded the Authors United Amazon protest campaign.
