Kings Road Publishing, a division of Bonnier Publishing, has signed a global deal to publish two official Dungeons & Dragons® titles in partnership with Hasbro UK and Wizards of the Coast.
The deal was brokered by Perminder Mann, c.e.o. of Kings Road Publishing, and Helen Wicks, creative director of Kings Road Publishing, with Marion Bardou, publishing manager at Hasbro UK.
The titles will launch under Studio Press’ newly-created games list, Studio Game.
Monsters and Heroes of the Realms A Dungeons & Dragons Colouring Book will be priced at £9.99 and published in paperback. It is a "treasure trove" of illustrations summoned from the pages of the official rulebooks – including the many classes, races and monsters from the Forgotten Realms. Studio Game will also be offering D&D fans a "unique" digital experience, in a free-to-download colouring app with in-app purchasing.
Dungeonology will be published in hardback priced at £19.99. It will introduce fantasy brand, Dungeons & Dragons to Kings Road Publishing’s Ology series, as the Forgotten Realms guide, Volo, takes fans on an "unforgettable" journey".
Mann said: “We are delighted to be publishing these exciting titles with Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast. Monsters and Heroes of the Realms Colouring Book will enable fans to bring the Forgotten Realms to life with colour and no adventurer should be without Dungeonology, the perfect in-universe companion. Studio Game will be home to premium game brands, bringing gamers books that they will read and love. We are proud to launching this list with the great tradition of Dungeons & Dragons.”
Monsters and Heroes of the Realms Colouring Book will be published in September 2016 and Dungeonology will follow in November 2016. The Monsters and Heroes of the Realms Colouring app will be available to download on iOS and Android devices in September 2016.
