Little, Brown Book Group has revealed the cover for JK Rowling's screenwriting debut, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
The full script of the film "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", first announced in April, is set to feature a host of magical creatures and characters and will now publish on the same date as Warner Bros' film release on 18th November (£16.99).
The film, directed by David Yates, stars Eddie Redmayne (pictured below with fellow cast members) in the role of a "magizoologist", called Newt Scamander, who finds himself waylaid by a muggle in 1926 New York.
Scholastic is publishing the print edition of the screenplay in the US and Canada while also participating in an extensive film tie-in publishing programme that includes a poster book, a "fashion sketchbook" and "magical movie handbook".
HarperCollins has meanwhile unveiled its newly designed covers for The Case of Beasts: Explore the Film Wizardry of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The cover was produced by design duo, Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, aka MinaLima, according to Pottermore, the global digital publisher of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World which will publish the e-book for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
HarperCollins will also publish tie-ins Inside the Magic: The Making of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: A Book of 20 Postcards to Colour and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Art of The Film.
Rowling topped Nielsen BookScan’s Total Consumer Market chart for the 75th time yesterday (31st August), after playcript Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Little, Brown) held the Official Top 50 number one spot for a fourth week running.
Bonnier Publishing today is celebrating the play and its range of Harry Potter colouring-in books by inviting fans to King Cross, near The Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 ¾, to colour in three giant eight-foot tall murals illustrating iconic images from the Harry Potter films.
