Laurence King Publishing (LKP) is partnering with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home to create a new series of books and gifts.
The newly licensed line with the animal rescue centre will launch in October 2017 with All About the Dog: A Battersea Dogs & Cats Home Colouring Book.
Three games, Cats & Kittens: A Memory Game, Do You Look Like Your Dog? and Dogs & Puppies: A Memory Game, will follow from Spring 2018 onwards.
LKP and Battersea Dogs & Cats Home said they hoped the partnership would help the shelter to raise vital funds. Royalties from the sale of each product will go towards supporting the charity, which since 1860 has cared for more than 3.1 million animals.
"We are delighted to be partnering with one of the UK’s most loved charities," said Sarah Batten, commissioning editor, Gift, at LKP. "We hope that the fun and creative products we create together will help Battersea raise vital funds for their exceptional work.”
Amy Zalin, licensing manager at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, added: "We’re very excited to be teaming up with LKP on this new series of books and games, which will educate and raise awareness of Battersea’s dogs and cats. The funds raised from these products will also help us to look after the thousands of rescue dogs and cats that come through our doors each year.”
