LS Hilton, the author of Bonnier Zaffre lead title Maestra, has been named Glamour magazine’s 2016 Writer of the Year.
Hilton was honoured at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards last night (6th June) at London Mayfair, and follows in the footsteps of previous recipients Paula Hawkins, Miranda Hart and Caitlin Moran.
Maestra is the first of three books which follows the story of Judith Rashleigh, who works in a London auction house by day, and an insalubrious bar at night. When she stumbles across a conspiracy, she ends up in a battle for her life.
The book's publication was backed by a large publicity campaign, which included being advertised on the back of a Gardner's truck, and has been optioned by Columbia Pictures for a film adaptation.
Hilton has written three other fiction books as Lisa Hilton: The House with Blue Shutters, Wolves in Winter and The Stolen Queen (all published by Corvus).
