Sphere has promoted two senior members of staff, appointing Daniel Mallory as Sphere publisher, with overall responsibility for the imprint, and Catherine Burke associate publisher, Sphere Fiction, working on the fiction strategy.
Mallory joined the imprint in 2009, and has been working as Sphere associate publisher, bringing authors including Louise Penny and Richard Montanari to the list.
Burke joined Sphere at the beginning of 2010, and works with authors including J D Robb, Roberta Kray and Erica Spindler, introducing Elizabeth Haynes and Judy Finnigan, among others, to the list.
Sphere's senior editorial team will report to Mallory, who will be working particularly closely with Burke and Sphere non-fiction publishing director Adam Strange.
Little, Brown Book Group publisher David Shelley said: "Dan and Cath have both made a fantastic contribution to the recent success of Sphere, and I am very excited about what they can achieve together in the years to come."
Mallory added: "Our editorial team is stronger than ever before, as is our roster of authors; and with both our fiction and non-fiction programmes surging, we've much to look forward to in 2012 and beyond."
Burke said: "I am delighted to take on this additional role and am looking forward to working with the Sphere fiction team across the list."
