Mapping company Lovell Johns has been bought out by its management, with plans to develop its publishing business, Maps International.
David Stephens and Liz Murray, the management team at the company, bought it out from Times Media Group, one of South Africa's largest newspaper and magazine publishers.
Maps International publishes a range of map titles and wall maps, as well as offering a range of map making services to other publishers.
Stephens said: "We believe this is a positive move for Lovell Johns, we were non-core to Times Media Group’s ongoing business and now we can focus on growing Lovell Johns and the mapping services and products we offer. We are lucky to have a very talented team here in Oxford with lots of energy and enthusiasm."
Last year saw Penguin Random House completing the purchase of Random House Struik, which was part-owned by Times Media Group. New Holland Publishing has also been sold by Times Media Group, with Bloomsbury acquiring its list.
