Faber’s consumer marketing director Matt Haslum is leaving the business after four years.
Faber said his departure follows his judgement that the publisher’s direct to consumer relationships and activities are now “well advanced and embedded across the company”.
Haslum was hired in 2012 from his position as director of Clicked Creative Ltd to build direct to consumer partnerships and played an “important” role in rebuilding the company’s website and launching its Faber Members scheme.
He said he was looking forward to his “next challenge” in the industry.
“I am incredibly proud of the brilliant marketing team we’ve built at Faber, and the award-winning work that we’ve done together,” Haslum said. “Faber has been an inspiring and rewarding place to work and I am excited to transfer my skills and knowledge of consumer strategy to my next challenge in the industry.”
Faber chief executive Stephen Page said Haslum was “an exemplar of the talented people coming into our industry from outside” who “has challenged us, and lead us to new places”.
“Fortunately he's also built a very strong team of marketeers who will continue his great work. We wish him the very best of luck for the future,” Page said.
Faber declined to reveal if it was recruiting a replacement for Haslum in the role of consumer marketing director but said it would be making an announcement “shortly” about how the department will be handled going forward.
Haslum’s last day in the business will be 28th February and he can be contacted on mhaslum@gmail.com.
