Val McDermid is worth more than £2.6m, according to the crime author’s personal company accounts.
The latest results filed on Companies House for CJMB Limited show that, for the financial year ending 30th September 2015, McDermid had assets valued at more than £2.6m (fixed assets of £2.348,456 and current assets of £257,524).
The value of the company in terms of shareholders funds was £2.3m.
McDermid is the author of more than 30 novels, including this month’s Out Of Bounds (Little, Brown). She has sold more than 11m books worldwide, according to her publisher, and 2.7m in the UK, according to Nielsen BookScan.
Her bestselling title is The Fever of the Bone with 175,273 copies sold.
Last month she was given an Outstanding Contribution to Crime Fiction Award.
Her company CJMB Limited is registered to an office in Lancashire. McDermid is the sole director and 90% shareholder.
