A memorial service for the late Ruth Rendell is due to be held next month.
Rendell died on 2nd May at the age of 85, almost four months after being admitted to hospital after suffering a critical stroke.
A service for Rendell will be held on Thursday 29th October at All Saints Margaret Street, London, at 2.30pm.
Rendell, who wrote 60 bestselling novels, was published by Penguin Random House’s Hutchinson since 1964, and also wrote under the penname Barbara Vine for Penguin.
Her debut novel was From Doon With Death, which introduced her popular detective, Inspector Reginald Wexford, who went on to feature in 24 subsequent novels.
Rendell’s final novel, Dark Corners, is scheduled for publication on 22nd October 2015.
