South Downs landscape writing debut signed

Penned in the Margins is to publish The Old Weird Albion, a debut book by American artist and writer Justin Hopper.

The publisher holds world rights to the title.

The Old Weird Albion is a "captivating" creative non-fiction debut, exploring landscape and Englishness across the South Downs. Through a series of psychogeographic encounters with the "dark history" of our open spaces and suburbs, Hopper travels across the Sussex homeland of his ancestors in an attempt to reconnect with the land and himself.

Hopper is a writer, artist and curator living and working in South east England and Pittsburgh in the U.S. His journalism, art criticism and culture features have been published in regional, national, and international publications.

Penned in the Margins will publish The Old Weird Albion in December 2016.
