Penguin communications manager Toby Jones is to leave his post on 15th November to travel and work abroad.
Kim Keegan, currently group communications manager at Random House, has now been promoted to senior communications manager for Penguin Random House. She will be based in the Strand offices with specific responsibility for Penguin corporate and internal communications, but the flexibility to work on Penguin Random House-wide projects.
Maureen Corish, Group communications director, said in an announcement to staff: "In the two years Toby has been with Penguin he has been a great ambassador, contributing to the brand work and being an all round champion of Penguin in the media. In the short time we've worked together I can see that he has built up some great relationships and I know he will be missed. I was looking forward to working with him, but the thought of soaking up the sun in South East Asia has proved just too enticing."
But Corish said Keegan "has been a great addition to the Random House communications team", paying tribute to her "tremendous work ethic and commitment:.
A new communications manager to be based at Vauxhall Bridge Road and Ealing, with a specific responsibility for Random House, will be recruited.
