Nosy Crow has recruited Clare Hall-Craggs as senior PR and media relations manager.
Hall-Craggs will take up her new role at the children's indie publisher on 12th June and will be supported by a new, recently advertised post - a PR and marketing assistant - as the department expands.
Hall-Craggs was formerly publicity director at Random House Children’s Books, working with authors such as Simon Mayo, Philip Pullman, Shirley Hughes, and John Burningham. She has more recently been working for both Nosy Crow and Macmillan Children’s Books as a freelance publicity consultant and managed the Arts and Prizes team at charity BookTrust, overseeing the children’s laureate and running their successful children’s books in translation project.
Catherine Stokes, head of sales and marketing at Nosy Crow, said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Clare as a permanent member of our team. Her reputation as a children’s books PR specialist has been, for many years, second to none and even in the few short months since she has been freelancing at Nosy Crow she has made a huge impact on the PR strategy, weight and profile of our list."
Hall-Craggs said: “I have always admired Nosy Crow for its fresh and eye-catching publishing, and ability to be very nimble. I can’t wait to get started in the new role, working with the brilliant authors on the list, like David Solomons and Pamela Butchart, taking them to an even wider audience. Nosy Crow has an enviable reputation for a company of its size, and I’m looking forward to working with Kate and Catherine to build on this further.”
