Mitchell Beazley is publishing a book of 100 cocktail recipes in collaboration with mixers brand Fever-Tree.
Fever-Tree – The Art of Mixing: Simple long drinks & cocktails from the world’s leading bars will be published on 7th September 2017 as a hardback, priced £15. Group publishing director, Denise Bates, acquired world rights from agent Jane Turnbull.
The book will draw together a selection of "world’s finest" bartenders to offer a fresh approach to the role of the mixer in cocktail-making in more than 100 original recipes.
Each recipe uses Fever-Tree’s range of all-natural mixers it promises will "elevate and enhance the flavours of fine spirits". The provenance and story behind ingredients used are also explored.
Fever-Tree was founded in 2005 by Charles Rolls and Tim Warrillow on the premise it would "craft premium mixers from only the highest quality, all-natural ingredients in order to enhance the flavours of spirits" and it is one of the few to shun added sweeteners, flavourings and preservatives. It has since racked up six Taste Awards, the Queen’s Award for Excellence, Best New Product at Tales of the Cocktail and voted both Best Selling and Top Trending tonic by Drinks International’s World’s 50 Best Bars two years running.
Bates said: “We are thrilled to be working with Fever-Tree, who have completely transformed the mixer category and are the perfect partners for a book which showcases simple, delicious drinks and cocktails. In addition, it’s fascinating to learn how and where their wonderful ingredients have been sourced.”
Rolls and Warrillow added: “With the great variety of fine spirits and mixers now readily available there is no better time to enjoy mixing your own cocktails at home. It has been a pleasure to work with the some of the world’s best bartenders to develop these simple but exciting long drinks and cocktails, and we hope it will inspire people everywhere to get mixing.”
