Orion is embarking on new publishing programme with beauty and wellbeing expert Liz Earle MBE.
Non-fiction publisher Amanda Harris acquired world rights to three new books and an extensive backlist of e-books from Earle through literary agent Rosemary Sandberg.
The first new book, Skin: 6 Weeks to Beautiful, Radiant Skin at Any Age, will be published as a hardback and e-book (£25/ £12.99) on 8th September 2016.
Skin features a six-week programme to "nourish skin from the inside out", with each week designed to focus on a different aspect of skincare, from detox and exfoliation, cleansing and healing, to nourishing, balance, radiance and maintenance. It aims to encourage readers to incorporate new practices into their skincare routine such as body brushing and meditation, as well as providing a guide to make-up detox, making your own scrubs and masks and problem-solving for specific skin conditions.
The programme is accompanied by 80 "delicious and easy" recipes to put readers on the path to glowing skin. Sample recipes include "Banana and Nut Butter Pancakes", "Salmon, Fennel and Quinoa", "Rich Chocolate Pots" and "Beauty Bombs".
Orion will also be publishing an extensive list of revised and updated Liz Earle Quick Guides as e-books over the next three years, including such titles as Antioxidants, Food Allergies, Healthy Menopause and Healthy Pregnancy.
Harris said: "I've been a huge fan of Liz Earle for many years. Liz has been the go-to expert in all things wellbeing and beauty, and I'm so thrilled to launch an ambitious digital and physical publishing programme for her at Orion. Liz's first Orion title, Skin, is the book that many of us have been waiting for: a simple yet expert six week guide to radiant skin, at any age. Liz successfully launched the most trusted and bestselling brand in beauty. Now, we will launch a beautiful and bestselling book series."
Earle MBE is co-founder of the multi award-winning brand Liz Earle Beauty Co, which she set up in 1995 and where she remains a consultant. She has authored more than 30 books on a range of beauty, health and wellbeing topics and recently launched a new quarterly magazine, Liz Earle Wellbeing. She said: "I’m totally thrilled to be launching my new global book publishing plan backed by such a high level of commitment and expertise from Orion Books – it really is very exciting news indeed."
